What type of payments do you take for appointments?
We accpet all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) along with all major mobile pay options (Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay). For our credit payments, we do add an additional $3.00 charge for the service. As always, we accept cash and checks too.
Do you offer direct deposits for tax refunds?
Yes we do! All we need from you is your bank's routing number and your account number. The best part of this option is we save this information on file so we have you set up for years to come. Also, this will help you get your refunds sooner! Refund times will vary based on IRS and State timetables.
Do you do State Tax Returns besides Vermont?
Of course! Since 1984, Cavacas Associates has been certified by the IRS to perform tax returns from all 50 States and US Territories. So whether you live in the Green Mountain State (Vermont) to the Show Me State (Missouri), we can do your taxes!
Do you offer advance payment of refund?
Due to the software agreement we have with the IRS along with the size of our firm, we are not able to offer this service. We do believe we offer the best price service in the region so it's worth the wait! Generally, with our direct deposit option, refunds are issued within 10 days of filing (Govt issues may delay this estimate).
Do you do appointments on Sundays or Late Evenings?
While our hours show that we are closed on Sunday and after 4:00pm during the week in non tax season, we do offer appointment slots at these times during tax season on a call ahead basis. If this work best for your schedule, then please call Nicole Emmons (Manager) directly at (802)-770-9434.
What if I can't make an appointment in person?
We have many ways we service our clients. While in person appointments are great, they may not always be the most convenient.
Can we request to do appointments on the first floor for health reasons?
Yes we do offer appointments on the first floor of the building vs our main office on the 2nd floor. Please mention this if you need this accomdation. While the first floor is the print shop for E&G Graphics, if you do give us 48 hours notice, we can offer this need. What do we need to bring to our tax appointment?
This will depend on whether your a business filing taxes or personal. The one thing is consistent is a Driver License or Photo ID. We need this in order to file your taxes to the IRS. If you go to our Appointments section of our website we have PDF forms for what personal and business will need for their tax appointments. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
What are your hours?
We have two sets of hours depending on the time of the year. During most of the year (May through December) our hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm and weekends by appointment only. During the "Tax Season" (Last Saturday in January to April 15th) our hours are Monday 8:00am-9:00pm, Tuesday 8:00am-8:00pm. Wednesday 8:00am-9:00pm, Thursday 8:00am-8:00pm, Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm, and Sunday's by appointment only. The best bet is to check the hours above for the most current information or at the bottom of our website.
